Day 1-Fri, 12 Apr-Lautoka, Fiji (D)
Bula! Fiji’s second-biggest settlement is nestled in the heart of a sugar-cane growing region. This sweet start to your voyage opens up a world of blissful beaches, turquoise seascapes, dense jungle and the always-smiling Fijian locals. Your journey into wonder begins with a warm greeting by the crew as you step on board Scenic Eclipse.
Day 2-Sat, 13 Apr-At sea (B,L,D)
Settle into your ultra-luxury suite and enjoy a day of sailing in deep blue seas, making the most of the amenities on the World’s First Discovery Yacht.
Day 3-Sun, 14 Apr-Tanna Island, Vanuatu (B,L,D)
Tanna’s erupting Mount Yasur is regarded as the world’s most accessible active volcano. Known for its continuous activity since Captain James Cook observed ash eruptions in 1774, it’s considered a sacred area by members of the John Frum cargo cult, who believe their deity resides inside.
Freechoice: Soak in the Sulphur Bay hot springs at the base of Mt Yasur, or explore Tanna’s Blue Cave, carved in a limestone cliff. Alternatively, see one of the island’s most magnificent waterfalls, taste the world-renowned Tanna coffee, or venture up to the smoking rim of Mt Yasur for an unforgettable experience.
Day 4-Mon, 15 Apr-Maré, New Caledonia (B,L,D)
The highest island in the New Caledonian archipelago, Maré lures guests with its unmatched scenery. Wild by nature, the island’s landscapes effortlessly combine the spectacle of steep cliffs and dense, dark forests with fine sand coves and impressive rocky headlands. Relax on one of the many beautiful, white sand beaches.
Discovery: Discover the rich and colourful history with your on board Historian, or be immersed the island’s rugged interior nature hikes. Alternatively, snorkel, kayak or stand-up paddleboard with your Discovery team.
Day 5-Tue, 16 Apr-At sea (B,L,D)
Day 6-Wed, 17 Apr-Norfolk Island, Australia (B,L,D)
Roughly halfway between New Zealand and Australia, this tiny island is an outlying self- governing Australian territory. Claimed by Captain James Cook for the British in 1774, Norfolk was settled as a convict colony, and in 1855, Queen Victoria sent the descendants of The Bounty mutineers here. Explore convict ruins, four museums, sheltered beaches and towering pines.
Freechoice: Discover the life of world-renowned author Colleen McCullough during a visit to her home, as part of an exclusive guided tour of the author’s magnificent property, or learn about the unique language of Norfolk Island, a fascinating mix of English and Tahitian, created by the Bounty mutineers and their Tahitian wives. Sailing into Sydney is an unmissable moment, so be sure to wake up for the dramatic arrival into the world’s most spectacular harbour, showing off the famous landmarks of the Opera House and the Harbour Bridge. Disembark after breakfast as you farewell the crew and take away memories of a truly unforgettable cruise.
